Poppy Red Off the Shoulder Maxi Dress

Fashion, Style
Red off the shoulder dress

I have never met an off the shoulder piece that I don’t like and this maxi dress is no exception. I love the shape of it and the way you can twist and twirl in it! It is a favorite move of mine since I was a little kid! Lol!

I am not usually a fan of bright and bold colors, but this color is so flattering that I just want to invest in bright and bold colored pieces for spring and summer! When Shop the Mint was kind enough to send one of their so many great items, I immediately fell in love with this number! This Spring, I decided to dress in all bright colors, which makes me feel so happy!

This dress can also be perfect for a cocktail or even a wedding (maybe a garden wedding) or for a brunch or a casual Saturday. You can dress it up or down and that’s what I like about it. I styled it with black strappy heels and a leopard clutch. I don’t know about you but I think red and black together is just so classic!

On the other hand, you could also combine it with flat sandals and a straw bag and voila! A perfect breezy and chic Saturday or Sunday outfit! I also love one pieces because I don’t have to think about a combination! Sometimes not thinking about combining tops and bottoms is what I need!

The Mint Julep has a lot of amazing and affordable pieces to choose from, you should definitely check it out! You can get 10$ off of your first purchase by signing up for their emails! Pretty amazing deal!

Also, you can get a peek on their Instagram here!

Happy Sunday and thanks for reading!

Would love to hear about your opinions and comments!

Floral Romper with Ruffles

Fashion, Style
Floral romper

Hello friends,

Sadly, I missed Coachella again this year, but I figured styling a festival-inspired look would at least satisfy me a bit. So, in this post I will talk about how you can create a boho and festival-inspired look with adding some details to your outfit.

On a side note, this floral romper is very comfortable and I love the fact that it is one piece. Orange is not a color I wear often but this is more like a faded orange and the floral pattern is so fun! Also, investing in rompers might be a good idea for summer just because that romper obsession is not going anywhere soon! I especially love the ruffle detail on the arms, which adds a more feminine look to it.

So, the key to transform this look to a Coachella outfit lies in accessories you use. For this, I wore my Panama hat, which I bought last year but linked a couple of options for you below. Apart from being one of the essentials of the desert, a hat transforms almost all looks into a boho one. Also, a choker goes well with this outfit, since the neck is pretty open and just for the sake of that festival spirit! (Also linked some of the similar choker styles)

I am almost inseperable from my Gaia bag, so it was inevitable for me not to take it! The bag added a feminine element to the look, but it is still in line with a desert look just because it is a natural wooden bag. Straw bags will give the same impression.

Lastly, I know I already told you about my infatuation with these block heel sandals, but can they be more comfortable? I absolutely love the sand color and the silver studs on these sandals! It goes so well with boho chic looks! I am linking the exact same sandals below!

Hope you enjoyed my post and thank you for reading!

Printed Shorts and Off the Shoulder Top

Fashion, Style
off the shoulder top with shorts

I am soo in love with printed shorts, rompers or dresses this season! I especially love pineapple and flamingo prints, but any printed or patterned fabric has my heart. I guess it reminds me of my childhood when I used to be dressed in printed outfits all the time.

I purchased these pineapple embroidered shorts last summer, but there are a lot of similar items in stores this season. What attracted me most was its color and gold-colored pineapples on it! My accessories are usually gold, so I prefer colors or prints that go well with that. That being said, I am totally loving the silver trend these days!

I don’t usually wear crop tops but let’s admit, they really complement high-waisted bottoms, whether it is shorts, skirt or jeans. I am still very much into off the shoulder trend and I am so happy it is still going strong this summer! So, this top is perfect to wear with these shorts in terms of both color and style. If you are not into crop tops, I have also linked normal length tops to go with high-waisted shorts.

This choker goes perfect with the off the shoulder top and this look in general. I love chokers, but it is important to know how to style it. Not every outfit would go well with chokers; it should be either a low-cut top or cleavage or off the shoulder top/dress. It adds an edgy dimension to the outfit, which I like to do with certain outfits.

Lastly, these studded sandals are one of my favorite heels! I am most comfortable in my flats, but these sandals have block heels, that’s why they are so comfortable that you can even run with them! I walked quite a distance with them and I didn’t feel any discomfort afterwards at all. Highly recommended!

Cutoff Shorts and Floral Print Top

Fashion, Style
tropical print top and shorts look

If you have looked at any store window or any fashion magazine this season, you’ve probably seen that floral and tropical prints are a thing this season. Not that I am complaining! In fact, I myself have acquired several floral print tops for this season and can’t wait to style them all!

I found this beautiful tropical print top at Zara and I immediately fell in love with the colors! It is the absolute beautiful mixture of tones of green, coral, white and blue. It shows a little bit of cleavage so it is pretty flattering, too! It has a bow detail on one side, which adds more to the look.

I styled it with cutoff shorts because I didn’t want the look to be pretty. I rarely want to look matchy matchy and proper. In fact, I always love mixing styles, patterns and prints, so this one was no different. These cutoff shorts of mine are from last year, but I will be sure to link a few more styles for you.

Since, we are always required to carry a cardigan or jacket here in California after the sunset, I grabbed my white blazer, which I purchased a few seasons back from Nordstrom Rack. A white jacket or blazer can be pretty versatile for summer and spring, so I am linking a few more below.

Also, I just got these black tassel earrings! They are adorable and you won’t believe where I got them from! No, not from Nordstrom. See below and be surprised!

Perfect Transition Piece: Sundresses

Fashion, Style
Street view

As a Mediterranean girl living in California, I always find myself transitioning whether it is from winter to spring, spring to summer or summer to fall. Contrary what other people may think, it is not always summer or spring here. Yes, some days are like summer’s finally here in the upper 70s, other days it’s like we are back to fall and boots weather.

So, we just have to find good transitional pieces to last us through the inconsistent whether. I find sundresses very useful on that front. They can be short or long-sleeved, which keeps you warm when it is chillier and it is still a dress to keep you cool when the sun’s out. You can add a thin cardigan to wear in the after-hours.

I especially love this piece because of its embroidered sleeves! Embroidered pieces are still very popular, so it makes the dress not only very trendy but cute at the same time. And it was the perfect dress to shoot with the backdrop of California’s signature trees, palm trees!

I styled my sundress with flat sandals and a pair of dangling earrings. It is a very effortless and casual look for the day!

Thank you for reading!

I would love to hear if you have any ideas about more transitional pieces!
