Spring/Summer Accessory Code + Contest

Fashion, Style
whole outfit

I don’t like to go overboard on accessories at all. For example, I don’t wear a lot of bracelets or necklaces. I believe in simplicity and minimalism when it comes to wearing an accessory. That’s why I usually balance my accessories for a certain outfit.

A watch is definitely an accessory to me as well as an indicator of time. My husband gets mad when I buy several sunglasses or watches to go with my various outfits, but I seriously need different ones!

OK, let’s talk about this gorgeous watch I received in the mail a couple of weeks ago! Jord Watches was kind enough to send me this wooden watch I am in love with. Ever since I got it, I styled it with different outfits. It goes perfectly with almost all of my combos! It is really a unique watch in the sense that it has an earthy feel to it and the color is very warm. I like to contrast it with blues and navy, but here I styled it with white and olive.

It is also a cool watch to wear because it does not look like a standard watch; it’s more like an accessory! I have had many compliments ever since I got it on.

Here’s a link to my Jord watch: https://www.woodwatches.com/series/frankie/koa-and-ash/#coffeecupsandroses

And here’s a link to their homepage if you want to pick your favorite Jord watch before joining the contest:

How to Style the A-line Skirt

Fashion, Style
White shirt and blue A-line skirt

I’ve been in love with this A-line baby blue skirt ever since I bought it. I really enjoy wearing skirts in spring just because we have just been out of winter in which we wear pants and jeans all the time. So I usually shop for skirts and dresses for Spring.

I styled the skirt with a short bat-sleeved white shirt. I love the color combo of white and baby blue, so I went with a simple white shirt. The only thing is that I played with the shirt a little bit with the front tie detail, which elevated the outfit right away. I could have also gone with a white off-the-shoulder crop top or a simple white tee.

Since the skirt has a romantic feel to it, I styled it with high-heeled nude sandals. In fact, I call this outfit of mine “Italian Riviera look” lol! The place we shoot these pictures perfectly complemented the look!

The sandals are from a few seasons back, but I’ll be sure to link some great ones below! I has two bags at the time with me, so we took pictures with both. The Gaia’s Ark I have is the large one, for the ones who might be asking and I’m happy that I got a large because I actually use it even though it is a total eye candy!

Hope you enjoyed my post!

Perfect Spring Staple: Olive Shirt Dress

Fashion, Style
Olive-Colored Shirt Dress

We were celebrating the coming of Spring in California until it started raining. I really don’t know what is going on with all the rain this year. Can the weather manipulation be real? Oh well.. I was very happy to see the sun shining today!

This olive dress is the perfect Spring dress! First of all, it is a transitional piece because it has short sleeves. And you can also wear it with boots. I wore it with my favorite espadrilles because I wanted to go for a summery look.

Second, I love the slits it has on the front! They add a playful element to the dress. If the slits are just a little bit too much for you, you can also use the dress as a tunic and wear denim shorts under it. Either way, it looks very casual and chic at the same time!

I scored this dress on a major sale, but I am linking a few more below!

Thank you for reading!

I would love to hear about your perfect transitional piece!

Date Night Look with Ruffled Top and Black Jeans

Fashion, Style
Ruffled top and black jeans

As we all try to get the most from the weekend, I am enjoying putting together this post for you guys on a Saturday night with my music and blanket on. Well, California days may be getting hotter but not the nights! They are still chilly for a Mediterranean girl like me!

There is something classic about this outfit. Maybe it is because of the black jeans, but the ruffled top literally elevates this outfit right away. It is perfect for a date night out: comfy enough but not too casual. You can style this top in several different ways, day and night. Actually, I am also planning to wear it with denim shorts and long linen pants! The back of the top is definitely another detail that makes it my choice.

Complete Summer Look with Denim Shorts

Fashion, Style
One-shoulder top with denim

I am so thrilled that we can finally wear our shorts, dresses and espadrilles with this weather here in California! I love wearing especially denim shorts in summer. I have several of them, including the ones that are raw hem and ripped. I think denim shorts are an essential for any summer wardrobe.

You can tell that I am into off-the-shoulder or one-shoulder tops and dresses! So I went for a one-shoulder, again, striped top to complete this look. This top turned the otherwise casual look into a casual chic one along with pointed red heels. The ruffles of the top add a fun element into the look.

I used those red heels in another post of mine to add color into black and navy. Here, I wanted to go for a nautical colors like navy, white, and red. It both adds color to the outfit and elevates the look! This look is perfect to go out for summer night drinks (with the addition of a white cardigan if you live in California)!

You may find the details of this look below. I linked several denim shorts and one-shoulder tops if you would like to go for different colors!

Hope you enjoyed the post and thank you for reading!

Gotta love Stripes!

Stripe shirt with striped espadrilles and denim skirt

Hope you’re having a great start for the week ahead! Mondays are always the hardest day of the week especially if you’ve had a fun and relaxing Sunday. And it’s exactly the case for me right now..

Well, there are always ways to spruce up your Monday, like browsing on Instagram, looking at your wishlist, thinking of your vacation plans, etc. My way of making Monday better is to write this post about one of my recent looks, which involves a lot of stripes!

Relax Your Mind and Body with Travertine Spa Products!

Beauty, Fashion
Skincare and beauty products from Travertine Spa

Hello there!

A few weeks ago, I was kindly invited to an Influencer Mix event at Travertine Spa. I accepted right away because it is a different branch from fashion but I felt like it would be good to experience it. Maybe it was because of the name “travertine” that I felt close to the brand! I come from a city in Turkey that is famous for its white travertines!

There was such a nice and small crowd at Travertine Spa! The team of Travertine Spa was quite welcoming, lively, and very informative.  All the bloggers and influencers were very friendly. I met a lot of nice fellow bloggers, which is a very important part of this job.

Travertine Spa is a natural spa and beauty products company owned by Terry Carter based in Orange County. I also had the pleasure of meeting Terry who is an incredibly sweet person kind enough to share what he has been doing with us. I love the fact that they want to keep things simple and small, which makes you connect on a personal level. Terry also told us about his travels where he gets a chance to know an essence or substance more closely he is going to use in his products. Hence, Travertine Spa products successfully combine the feel of an essence with its origins.

Off-The-Shoulder Floral Maxi Dress

Off the Shoulder Floral Dress

Hello friends!

I’ve been wanting to write a blog post about this off the shoulder floral dress and finally I can get to it. Maybe it’s just me, but I just feel like wearing floral dresses or tops all the time! Can you blame me? Not to mention that you cannot go wrong with almost anything floral or embroidered this season.

We went to the Balboa Island for our shoot just in time to catch the sunset, which is a perfect time to do the shoot. The sun is neither too shiny or too dim, perfect light for fashion shoot! I also love the fact that my outfit blended in with the island life. If you are ever around, don’t miss Balboa Island! It is a perfect spot for a quiet walk or to watch sunset!

OK, so let’s talk about this dress! Off-the-shoulder style is still trending, which I’m glad for because I have invested quite a bit in that. I love that the grey base color makes it look romantic and less dramatic. It is floral but not over-the-top thanks to the colors of the dress. The semi-bell sleeves are also trending right now, so the detail on sleeves adds another dimension to the dress. I can say that it fits true to size.

Wearing Black and Navy Together

Style
Navy and Black- Coffee Cups and Roses

Happy Friday! I’m so glad that weekend is finally here! I feel like we live by waiting for weekends and the days go by, but it is a reality that we need them!

Today I would like to talk about wearing navy and black, which is usually considered to be two unusual colors to combine. I was a little hesitant to wear those two colors together but when I tried this outfit, I realized that they go perfect together as they are both saturated and bold colors.
